Over the years, your receipt list keeps growing. Archiving lets you temporarily hide all receipts from an entire year so you only see the expenses that matter to you day to day.
Receipts from the archived year immediately disappear from the main view, exports and all listings.
To show receipts from an archived year again, go back to Settings > Accounting years and turn the toggle back on. All your receipts reappear instantly.
